HESI A2 Anatomy and Physiology Study Guide

For every system, learn the major structures, normal function, controlling signals and one common disruption that tests the same relationship.

Use a repeatable body-system framework

Create one page for each system with four headings: structures, functions, regulation and connections. This prevents long lists from becoming disconnected facts.

Directional terms and tissue organization deserve early review because they appear across many questions. Then move from cardiovascular and respiratory exchange to renal balance, digestion, endocrine control and nervous-system coordination.

Practice retrieval, not rereading

Close your notes and redraw a pathway from memory, label a diagram or teach the process in plain language. Compare your explanation with the source and correct only what was missing.

Use question rationales to identify the exact relationship you misunderstood. Add that relationship to the next review session instead of repeating the entire chapter.
